Is Money Really The Issue?

Is Money Really The Issue? by Carl Hampton -

How many times have you let a cousin or one of your siblings borrow some money. A few days pass with no sign or word from the borrower. The days turn into a week, still no word the weeks then turn into months, still nothing. During this time you begin to build up a resentment towards the borrower.

Why would they borrow the money if they couldn't afford pay you back. Now the arguments begin and then you choose to disassociate yourself from them for a while. If all of this is starting to sound familiar you may find the following of interest. Research has shown in close relationships that money is not normally the real problem in serious relationship situations.

People commonly believe that financial issues are one of the leading causes to rifts in relationships. A study was conducted at the University of California Sacramento that followed 2,000 married couples over the course of 12 years. The results were interesting in every way. There were few couples that stated that their money situation was a problem but very few of these couples ended their relationship in divorce. The other issues in the “stress threshold” were sex and in-laws, but money issues still ranked lower than those. The professor that conducted the research, prof. Jan Anderson, concluded, that when money is an issue that “Money may just be a mask.” covering up the real problems.

Therapists also agree with professor Anderson. Lois Gold, a therapist for the past 20 years, has worked with over 1,200 couples that are in the process of divorce. She has published a book entitled Between Love & Hate: A Guide to Civilized Divorce. When dealing with financial situations, Lois claims that “money can be a vehicle for other kinds of conflict and other kinds of hurt.” She gives the example of a spouse being angry about not getting enough sex and withholding money as a result.

Another fairly common example is inheritances. Inheritances can challenge even the strongest relationships. How many times have you heard this story? Spouse A has a wealthy family but because that family does not like the other spouse (spouse B), they cut off some or all of the money they used to give to Spouse A. This financial problem then begins to place a strain on the relationship as a whole and the relationship ends.

That is when money is more than just money. That is when money becomes a tool, a symbol, a fetish if you will. Thus, money amounts (no pun intended) to something of a complexity of human psychology. Even deep problems like mistrust or resentment can be viewed as stinginess. The next time you are about to get angry over money that was borrowed from you, just take a second to think about the other issues related to that money.

How can you Recognize Girls with Anorexia?

Anorexia is a modern disease that affects a large number of girls in the USA and not only. The girls with anorexia have a distorted image of their own bodies which makes them think that they are overweight even though they are not. The cause of this psychological affection is the fact that modern society has promoted thinness as beautiful and many consider fat and overweight persons ugly and reject them.
Girls with anorexia become obsessed with the idea that they will not be popular if their weight exceeds the modern standards so they begin by trying to do everything that is in their powers to lose as much weight as they can. Soon this obsession will cloud their vision of their own body and they will see it as overweight even if it is so thin that the health condition of the girl is gravely endangered.

These girls' only purpose in life will become to lose weight. After losing a certain amount of weight the period stops because the body can't afford to loose blood in a time when the vital substances provided by food are lacking. Many young girls consider their period to be disgusting and when they discover that they can stop it if they do not eat they are encouraged. If the period stops the body's balance is in serious danger, and this can have repercussions that can be felt for years.

So the poor naive girls with anorexia are slowly destroying themselves while foolishly believing that they are doing a good thing. The behavior of the girls with anorexia must be changed no matter what the cost of this change is. If you try to talk to them they will think you are their enemy and they will fight you and oppose you. It is best to seek professional help from a psychiatrist with experience in children if you want help.

You can recognize a girl with anorexia by her unusual thinness and obsession for losing weight. These girls avoid eating, try to hide their body in large clothes and talk a lot about losing weight and diets. Some of them intentionally make themselves throw up after a meal. If you try to talk to them on this subject they will get upset and maybe cry. They don't like to socialize because they think they are rejected by society since they are fat.

If you suspect that your daughter or a friend has anorexia seek advice from a doctor. The girls with anorexia need help and they need it fast, before they do any permanent harm to their body.

Writing a Sales Copy that Sells

Writing a Sales Copy that Sells by Peter Tarrida del Marmol

When writing a sales copy, all internet marketers know that a long copy will sell more than a short copy. This does not mean that the more words the better; the quantity and the quality of detail is what will improve its performance.

Having the correct sales structure will keep the reader interested from start to finish. These are the steps to follow to create a successful sales letter:

1. USE A POWERFUL HEADLINE. Express the main benefit of your product in a short sentence. Grab your readers attention and make them want to continue reading.

2. CREATE EXCITEMENT WITH A SUB-HEADLINE. In no more than two or three short sentences, expand on the benefits of your product and generate excitement in your reader. If you are offering a limited promotion, specify the limitations of your offer here.

3. OUTLINE THE BENEFITS OF YOUR PRODUCT. Give the reader three good reasons to buy your product. These reasons have nothing to do with the product's features; think about what your customer wants. For example, if you are selling holiday villas, say something like:

"If you want to take advantage of the comfort of a luxury apartment, enjoy the Mediterranean sun and save money on your summer vacations, then this might be the most important letter you'll ever read"

4. EXPLAIN YOUR UNIQUE SELLING PROPOSITION. This is the specific benefit that differentiates your product from all the others. At this point, you must mention your USP in one or two sentences. You will explain the details later in the sales letter.

5. PROVE YOUR CREDIBILITY. The most important thing to sell on the internet is credibility. Your readers have to trust you before they will buy anything from you. Give them three reasons why they should believe you. Try to prove that what you say is true.

6. EXPLAIN THE FEATURES AND BENEFITS OF YOUR PRODUCT.

Explain how your product will improve your reader's life or how it will solve a problem. The more detail you can provide, the more convincing your copy will be

If You Want Other People to Like You, Like Yourself First!

by Royane Real

Do you truly like yourself?

Many of us mistakenly believe that it’s wrong or conceited, to think we have any good qualities. We may spend a lot of time berating ourselves for our negative qualities, thinking that self criticism is the key to improving our performance. However, a constant focus on our supposed shortcomings can hinder our efforts to make friends with other people.

How can we have the confidence to make new friends if we think we don’t have much to offer? How can we believe that others could like us if we believe our inner being is flawed? Or if we think we are too boring to interest anyone else?

We may wonder what anyone else would see in us if we don’t see any good in ourselves. In order for others to be attracted to us, they must be able to easily see our best qualities. If we focus on our good qualities we will have much more confidence that we have something of value to offer in a relationship.

If you wish to be socially successful, it’s important to accept the fact that not everybody is going to like you under all circumstances. Not everyone is going to like the package you come in, especially on first meeting you. Every person has a unique patterns of likes and dislikes which were formed long before they met you. Don’t think you have to condemn yourself as a failure if it seems that someone else doesn’t like you.

If someone seems to dislike you, the reason for that dislike might have little or nothing to do with you. The person who doesn’t like you might be fearful, or shallow, or busy or shy. Perhaps you and that person are simply a mismatch for each other at this particular time.

Don’t take yourself out of the game by deciding that your flaws are bigger than your assets. In fact, some of the very qualities you consider to be flaws may be irresistible to someone else. For all the factors that might cause one person to reject you, there are at least as many factors that will work in your favor with someone else.

How I discovered an amazing amount of high quality Google Adsense Alternatives

By: Bert Colijn,

A 52 year old webmaster from the Netherlands got banned from the Google Adsense program in just a few clicks. He went looking around for alternatives and found a lot of very creative brand new advertising solutions. That webmaster was me. Do as I did and you will get a message like:

• Your account is disabled because of invalid clicks.

What was all the fuzz about? The adsense account was set up for my website www.wereldwijdbellen.nl , wich I started one year earlier as an affiliate for a German / American Voip company (voice over IP, internettelephony). At that time Adsense was new for me and I decided to give it a try. Doing some cutting, copying and pasting with the codes and voila, I was advertising competing Voip companies on my website.

Spyware was already a big nuisance on the internet at that time. In my battle against it I experimented with anonymous surfing via so called anonymizers and proxyservers with the purpose of hiding my IP address. Simply just out of curiosity, whether or not the number of clicks on my ads could be influenced, I produced them and guess what happened? They were interpreted as invalid clicks. Adsense disabled my account and I have to admit it : they had a good reason to do so (stupid me, what a shame). However It was never my intention to harm the advertisers nor anyone else.

• I realised that the possibility to earn money with these ads had gone forever.

For hardworking affiliate webmasters, generating 100% of their multiple website income through Adsense, this must be a nightmare. Google has no obligation to explain its decision in detail.

So I begged to Google: Here are my sincere apologies. I’ll never do it again pleas let me in again !!!

No way, don’t waste your time, forget about it, don’t pull on a dead horse. Google won’t unlock your account again. Remember we live in the internet age and everything is automated. Google’s answers to my sincere and arguing emails were no exception. They were completely robotized. So would this be the end of a dream earning an income with my website? Answer: NO. As the famous Dutch football player Johan Cruyff ones stated:

• Every disadvantage has its advantage.

I decided that I had to forget about Adsense forever being an internet advertising possibility for me and guess what I found out ? I was not the only one and this nightmare of the possibility of getting banned is discussed in forums all over the internet now. You want proof? Just google (yes this is a new verb) with “banned from adsense” and you will see. But what is more important is that the alternatives are given in these forums and on individual sites as well. Here I’am going to share with you what I discovered.

Speak and Touch the Heart

By: Barbara White,
Presentations and seminars become all too familiar in the business world. Jim Speaker is there with the overhead projector and PowerPoint slides-each with four of five points.
Hours later the seminar is over. Seminars are informative but can be deadly.
Just give me the handout and I’ll read it at home!

It takes a dynamic presenter to step out from behind the lectern and shake up and motivate their audience.

Facts touch or mind, but it is the power that comes from stories that touch hearts.

Everybody loves a story. Stories give us insight life and human nature. They can make us laugh and they can make us cry. Story telling will go beyond the bullet points and will make a memorable impression on the heart that can change a life.

As a speaker, how can you use stories to give your presentation the impact that you desire:
• Tell inspirational stories to persuade, motivate or entertain. Use stories to illustrate the point you want to make. Try to find stories that are relevant to the audience. For example, for software engineers, tell a story about the young engineer who started a company in his garage and how Microsoft changed the world.....
